Vance Joy has been announced as the opening act for Bob Dylan’s Adelaide concert.
“I’m very excited to get to support one of my favourite artists. It’s an honour.” Said Vance Joy.
Six years on from bursting onto the scene, Melbourne born Vance Joy has captured the hearts of music lovers the world over. It was the single Riptide from his debut EP God Loves You When You’re Dancing that set Vance Joy’s upward trajectory, becoming a record-breaking, worldwide sensation. In 2014 Vance Joy released his debut album dream your life away, peaking at the top of the charts in Australia, achieving Platinum sales locally in the USA and Canada, and winning him the coveted Best Male ARIA Award in 2015.
This year has seen Vance Joy release his sophomore full length LP, Nation of Two, which has solidified his position as one of Australia’s most exciting exports – taking #1 in Australia, #2 in Canada and #10 in the USA. Nation of Two features singles Lay It On Me (2x Platinum), We’re Going Home (Platinum) & Saturday Sun (Gold).
Returning to Australia at the halfway point of his 83 date Nation of Two world tour, Vance Joy will head straight to Adelaide, prior to the commencement of the 10 date leg of the Australian tour, to play an exclusive solo acoustic set in support of Bob Dylan.
