Following the release of his UK chart-topping debut album Gang Signs & Prayer, South London MC Stormzy is thrilled to announce he’ll return to Australian shores in July for a headline tour.
Alongside a slot at Splendour In The Grass 2017, the multi-award winning UK grime phenomenon will treat his ever-growing audience to shows in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.
23-year-old Stormzy, aka Michael Omari emerged onto the grime scene in 2013, appearing on his record-breaking YouTube freestyles series WickedSkengMan. Stormzy’s debut EP Dreamers Disease was released the following year, trading in straight up raps for a broad range of musical styles that showcased his artistic and open mindset.
Dreamers Disease furthered Stormzy’s climb to worldwide acclaim, after receiving multiple awards and appearing on renowned live music program Later With Jools Holland, making him the first unsigned rapper to appear on the show.
