ROCK WITH A CAPITAL AARRRR: All ABOARD FOR PIRATEY VARIETY

Pirates meet circus. Adelaide’s premier pirate rock band Captain Hellfire and the Wretched Brethren dock with local circus performer Kate Lawrence to launch their new show at the Producers Hotel this Adelaide Fringe.

Aaarrrr! All Aboard for Piratey Variety is a rockin’ hour of musical tales and shanties that hark back to a time of swashbuckling, sailing the high seas and rum-soaked adventures abroad.

Having terrorized local venues and festivals the past few years, including as a support act for John Butler, Captain Hellfire and the Wretched Brethren are bringing their mixture of true rock and traditional music of the sea to the Fringe.

The Wretched Brethren are joined by acclaimed Adelaide-based circus performer and teacher Kate Lawrence who has conquered the world, having travelled throughout Australia and the UK and is aboard to share her swashbuckling circus skills.

Captain Hellfire member and accordionist Pearl Sautoir (aka the Bendy Bassist) bends her way out of the perils of the sea.

“It is the perfect combination of pirate and music, and circus and performance” Accordionist and fellow performer Pearl Sautoir says. “Expect to be hit with an invigorating blend of music that will make you jig and as though you were possessed by the Devil himself.”

Enjoyable by most ages, although expect a salty mouthed sailor or two. The crew have set to continue their successful voyages through the local waters and taverns, recruiting pirates and wenches to their noble cause of continuous rum guzzling and never-ending debauchery.

So come aboard and join the crew, they sail for glory with the morning tide! YARRRR!!!!!
